THE WHOLE HISTORY OF ZAMBIA

Welcome to Countries Facts so Today in this Article I will show you the whole history of Zambia so the history of Zambia begins in 1720 when the first Portuguese explorers probably arrived in 1740 the first country Kazim Bay was established in northeastern Zambia with an Ganga by Londe as the first chief in 1820 Portugal conquered southeastern Zambia in 1840 Linda conquered northwestern Zambia in 1851 David Livingstone became the first British explorer to arrive in 1856 jacob was established in northeastern Zambia with Syria as its first king in 1864 Losey was established in southwestern Zambia with C Papa Lu tangu as its first king in 1887 Munda was conquered by Katanga a vassal of Belgium and Portugal which was attempting to connect its areas on the Indian and Atlantic oceans it achieved this the next year by vassal I seen manic island an area in southeastern Zambia however that year Cecil Rhodes claimed southern Zambia as part of the United Kingdom which would be administrative administered by the British South Africa company Portugal was forced to abandon this area in 1891 as United Kingdom took over southern Zambia in 1894 the United Kingdom conquered all of Zambia apart from kizomba and Losey and the border with Katanga was readjusted with all of catan dense areas at modern zambia been taken by the United Kingdom in 1895 wanna land northwest Rhodesia was established in western Zambia meanwhile Losey was conquered by the United Kingdom also that year copper was found by Frederick Russell Burnham the next year in Northeast Rhodesia was established in eastern Zambia and it included kizomba which was conquered by the United Kingdom 1911 Batuhan Ellen Northwest Rhodesia and northeast Rhodesia were created were joined to create Northern Rhodesia 1924 the government took over Northern Rhodesia from the British South Africa company 1928 more copper was discovered and copper extraction was mainly done by the Anglo American PLC and the Rhodesian selection trust however the poor safety and increased taxes caused a strike by after can miners on May 29th 1935 called a copper belt strike of 1935 was quickly crushed with six dead then in 1940 European miners went on strike as well 1953 Northern Rhodesia was joined with Southern Rhodesia and Nyasaland to form Rhodesia and Nyasaland in 1963 Rhodesia and Nyasaland split with Northern Rhodesia once again becoming a territory but soon became independent achieving this on October 24th 1964 with the Zambia independence Act 1964 Kenneth Kaunda the prime minister of Northern Rhodesia became the first president of Zambia 1972 he became dictator as all other parties apart from his were bent 1981 protests began but were quickly crushed but there were more protests in 1986 1987 then riots over rising food prices in 1990 where 30 or more people were killed in the 1990s Zambian coup d'état attempt lieutenant Wamba Lucien Bey attempted to overthrown Conda on July 1st but failed however forced Conda to lift the ban on other parties 1991 during a free election Frederick Chiluba was elected as president however he also became a dictator 1996 Alvarez general elections were about to take place chalupa banned people whose parents were not Zambian to participate which meant Conda whose parents were Malawi and weren't allowed to participate this caused captain Stephen lungo to attempt to overthrow Chiluba on October 28 1997 during the 1997 Zambian coup d'état attempt but he was arrested and later executed in 2003 in 2001 during the general election Chiluba tried to run again but after several protests he decided not to and was replaced by Levy Mwanawasa and that's it another short country history but I hope you enjoyed this and learned something new don't forget to Like subscribe and share and I'll see you in the next Article God Bless You.
